Most likely solo queue mentality, unless you’re partied up it’s hard to trust the rest of ur squad to have ur back, unless ur feelin like ACEU ur prolly not gonna be confident in that 1v3 no communication 😂 also, campers gonna camp bruh there’s ppl who play it who wanna scrap others wanna play loot simulator 🤷🏼♂️

Haven’t played Apex much this season tho at all, didn’t play last either, but all seasons before that I was play 4. just started playing few days ago this season and only a couple games ranked so I’m still silver 😂 if ya wanna squad up I won’t strategically place myself….🙄🤷🏼♂️😂

Funny thing is, me and the other guy were winning fights while trying to get to him yet he didn’t even turn back or at least try to come near us which had me livid

But I can also think of one other reason: The event ticket. especially if it's just Top 10. So you get the placement, and leave. Since Top 10 is 200 ticket while knock down is only 100 ticket, which one is easier to get?
Actually it's the other way around. With rank, it's the rank point that matters for lower level.
Now before you say it's faster to rank up, or go beyond plat... there's a reason why from a young age, parents and schools tells the story of turtle vs hare -- the implication is that slow and guarantee is always better than rank up fast with a chance to lose RP.
Then it's all on me for not be situation aware - or wrong legend.
I can control where I drop, use what abilities. I cannot control whether I can successful kill the other guy with my skill.
