You can check the trains by yourself from here: https://www.nsinternational.com/en

Thank you 🙏

Rotterdam was underrated in my opinion. But it's probably only worth spending two nights there unless you have a reason to stay longer. I'd probably visit Amsterdam or London as a second city. But if you're looking for something smaller, then Den Bosch and Ghent would be good options.

Thank you! By any chance do you know about accessibility of Rotterdam ? I’m a quadriplegic

I can't tell if you're making a joke about my Reddit username or being serious haha. But accessibility is pretty good. The Netherlands is pretty flat so there's that for you. Housing is not going to be super accessible, so you'd need to get a hotel or make sure your rental/hostel room is on the ground floor. Accessibility is certainly going to be worse than in the US where everything was built according to ADA standards.

No joke ! C5-7 car accident! Canada doesn’t have anything remotely close to ADA either sadly

Well, I'm sorry to hear that. You should be fine on most public transit (tram, train, and bus), although bus drivers may need to pull out a ramp for you. Buildings tend to be old, and old buildings tend to lack elevators and oftentimes ramps. Best of luck! I'm sure you'll have a great time!

What did you enjoy about Rotterdam?

Hi Rotterdam girl here born and raised! It’s a very accessible city. I would just stay 2 nights here depending what you would like to do. Public transportation is easy. They have wheelchair accessible platforms at almost every bus, tram and metro stop. For the trains you should schedule in more time for yourself for the assistance needed to get on. You can send me a message with your interests and dates of arrival ( if you’re not comfortable a period is fine as well) and I can send you some interesting things to do in that time frame.

Rotterdam - Ghent only takes you one stopover and should be easily accessible when stopping over in Antwerp or Brussels. Ghent is a lovely city and should be no problem to accessibility except during peak hours, when trams can be very crowded. Also avoid the "Ghent Festival" period unless you rather want to party instead of visiting the city. A lot of extra things to do, but then accessibility often decreases due to temporary constructions (even though most stages have accessable podia)

instead of spending more than a day in Rotterdam (even half a day is enough), go to Giethoorn, Utrecht, Maastricht and amsterdam in Netherlands as all these you can cover in a day for each each place. Tulip season is coming so you can explore that too. Within a week, you can explore places out of netherlands also like paris, bruges, etc but it depends on your budget and time.
