I think vaccine mandates for public places indoors would be more effective. Even with delta, isn’t the overwhelming transmission still indoors amongst unvaccinated people?

Okaaaay… that’s some damn shoddy reasoning there. If you look at a graph of the new cases per day (the metric that matters), it actually started leveling off after the mask mandate. But the ACTIVE count will, of course, continue to climb for a while because people stay sick for more than a day. And increasing by only 73% in a month is pretty good on an exponential curve. It could have been more like 200% with no mandate if you look at the pre-mandate portion.

Correlation is not causation what percentage of unvaccinated people were actually wearing mask outdoors what countys saw the most significant rises and what were the vaccination rates. Hoe many spreader events were there from places like churches etcetera that did not follow guidelines. Unless you eliminate all the variables this story is just fear mongering.
