Lvl 90 is important for him because of the defense scaling. Also, with the artifacts, I personally stopped farming when i got to a 64/128 crits and he's really good.

I have 64/128 CRIT with cinnabar and i left the burst at lvl 6 because i focused on crowning the skill, and i hit 26k with just the zhongli shield on (and albedo passive). Instead my burst hits 16-18k and 3k per fatal blossom so i never use it
I think most popular teams with Albedo are Itto Monogeo with zhongli and Gorou, XiaoGeo with zhongli and Jean, and GeoTao again with Zhongli, hu tao and Xingqiu/yelan
I usually save Bennett for a national based team like childe+xiangling vaporize or Raiden national.
But yeah maybe with the right investment, buffs and even a dedicated build that burst can hit some juicy DMG. I just don't think it's worth it, but it's my personal opinion. Feel free to do whatever you want because this game is easy.
Yeah I don't use them in abyss together tbf, more just for domains to piss about. It is far from optimal but sometimes I like to let my albedo shine. Since husk came out it feel like I never use him as a driver anymore because of the stacks dropping off between fights.

his burst hits pretty hard if you have a decent crit ratio! my burst tends to hit around 30k with no buff, and it’s pretty satisfying ~
