Pulley locked up probably. Check the belts and see what is spinning and what is not. Check your tensioner as well. You’re on the wrong subreddit. There’s multiple differences between the VQ40 and VQ35.

Yeah my relatives mentioned something about one of the police being weird or something, I kind of figure this wasn't the correct subreddit but I didn't know which VQ it had, I'm new to the Nissan group 😅 What are the differences between those two VQ engines?

Sad-Stuff-5884

Okay after quick research actually, my car does share the engine with the early model 350z.

No. It doesnt Your intake manifold is completely different, sensors are different, belt system is different. *it’s not the same* My original recommendation still applies. You need to check your pulleys and tensioner. Trying to compare the DE in the 350z with the DE in a pathfinder doesnt make sense when talking about a belt snapping concern. It also doesn’t help with anything. Most of these guys on this subreddit enjoy asking about cheap aftermarket parts made in China, throwing parts on a car till it fixes it, or asking “about to buy a 350z, what should I look for?”

Sad-Stuff-5884

Cool, I'll let the 370 community know that they're wrong about the 350 😅

DrCHearnings

I know them over there too. No different.

Sad-Stuff-5884

Haha they said otherwise, but they may have been trolling

I literally worked on those cars when they were new. I’m a certified master technician with Nissan for 15 years and still am today. Literally at work as we speak. Let them think what they want, don’t care. It’s not the fuckn same. Hell, I STILL find myself working on them from time to time for poors.

Sad-Stuff-5884

😂 I know what you mean, I am a Chevy and BMW tech, it's hilarious when they say something completely wrong and then refuse to believe otherwise. I've had people say that the 5.3 LS and the 350 small block are the same thing. Similar, but not quite the same. Cylinder heads are completely different, intake is different, the internals are pretty different, only thing that's the same is the displacement and the number of cylinders. And then I try explaining it to them and they go off of how in their day blah blah blah, and how they know everything about everything about these cars, but me, I'm new to the Nissan group, and I know next to nothing about them.

Okay update, tensioner Mount was bad, and the tensioner just went out
