The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) has released top 10 jobs with most vacancies based an average of 75,000 job openings in various types of occupations for every quarter of 2011 in the National Capital Region.

As expected, call center agents remain the most needed position in the industry followed by sales representatives. Bureau of Labor and Employment Statistics (BLES) says that the Philippines global leadership in voice contact business outsourcing makes call center agents remain bankable.

The top 10 hottest jobs in Metro Manila are as follows:

1.       Call Center Agents:  18,026

2.       Sales Representatives:  6,913

3.       Computer Professionals: 5,779

4.       Clerks: 5,533

5.       Shop salesperson: 3, 528

6.       Protective service workers: 2,565

8.       Cashiers and ticket clerks: 1,951

9.       Accountants and auditors: 1,292

10.   Debt collectors: 1,111

According to BLES, the demand for computer professionals is due to, "diversification of BPO industries towards higher value chain products and adoption of modern technology in many industries."
