Date Posted: Mar 24, 2011

Students and out-of-school youths are encouraged to make their summer vacations more memorable and productive and that is by working in local government.

The Kabataan 2000 is a spin-off of the President’s Youth Program (PSYWP), a year-round youth work program of former president Fidel V. Ramos during his term.

The Kabataan 2000 aims to develop the youths knowledge and skills, educate them about the key elements of having a great career, and train them while getting financial assistance.

The program is open to all 15-30 years old that falls into these categories:

·       Special Youth (SY)

·       Working Youth (WY)

·       Out-Of-School Youth (OOSY)

·       In-of-school youth (IOSY)

The youth will be deployed in local government units depending on their skills, the local government will provide them allowances.
