Accenture, world’s top 2 delivery center company and one of the leading business process outsourcing company in the Philippines has announced hiring of 2,000 employees in 2011.
Being in the country for 25 years, Accenture is bullish on its prospects in the country due to the strategic importance of the Philippine delivery center to the company’s overall business.
Accenture chief executive for technology Kevin Campbell said that the company would hire 2,000 employees every year for the nest three to four years.
“We’re nowhere near the ceiling of the most number of people we want here,” Campbell said.
Accenture senior executive George Son Keng Po said that the country had great untapped potential, in terms of the manpower it could provide, especially in the technology space.
This is why the company has tied up with institutions of higher learning, such as De La Salle University and the Mapua Institute of Technology, to help ensure the “employability” of future graduates.
“There are a lot of bright students that can get into the workforce, but the problem is employability. We’re doing our part (to solve this problem) by working to influence school curriculum,” he said.
The Philippine delivery center is Accenture’s second largest in the world, with more than 18,000 employees.
