New British firm has chosen the Philippines to be the home of their new manufacturing site giving job opportunities to Filipinos.
One of world’s leading aircraft parts companies, B/E Aerospace Inc. is set to open their manufacturing site of their interior design products for commercial, business jet, and military aircraft.
More than 300 Filipinos will be given a job once B/E starts operations, according to British Ambassador Stephen Lillie.
“I hope this will go to show that the Philippines offer opportunities for business success not only in the service sector but in manufacturing also," said Lillie, noting that the first phase of the investment is worth over $30 million.
“We hope the [Aquino] administration will take pro-active measures to create a more attractive investment climate for the Philippines so that there will be even more projects like this." he added.
Among the 32 countries B/E Aerospace reviewed, the Philippines will be the firm’s manufacturing site for galleys of the Airbus A350XWB, a new generation wide-body aircraft, according to the ambassador.
