The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) is
currently recruiting 200 competent new employees as the department needs
additional manpower to man various areas in Metro Manila.
The MMDA particularly needs additional road workers and
traffic enforcers. For road workers and traffic enforcers, applicants must be
18 years old and above. No educational degree needed for road workers while for
traffic enforcers MMDA requires at least two-year college level/degree.
MMDA general manager Roberto Nacianceno said that
successful applicants will undergo series of free trainings.
“We train our employees to do different tasks like
electrical work, carpentry, among others,” Naciaceno said.
Naciaceno added that applicants must have willingness to
work and physically capable of working.
“Successful applicants will sign a three-month contract
which is possibly renewed if the MMDA found the worker’s performance
satisfactory,” said Naciaceno.
On the other hand, Naciaceno said that MMDA continuously
recruits new workers because the agency constantly firing employees who are
incompetent and corrupt from its rank.
“We fire people because of incompetence and other illegal
acts like extortion, as well as tardiness and inefficiency.”
Interested applicants must bring their latest bio-data or
resume with picture at MMDA main office, Orense St. Corner EDSA, MakatiCity.
