Italian Company to Open Green Buildings in Five RP Provinces
ItalPilipinas,
Inc (ITPI) a partnership company owned by an Italian company and local firm
Constellation Energy Corporation will construct a Green building, a P180
million investment in five key provinces in the Philippines.
The
construction of a ten storey condominium in Cagayan de Oro City is expected to
be completed in 14 months or by early 2011, said ItalPinas Chief Executive of
Officer Romolo Nati.
The
1,000 square meter condominium is said to be the very first green building in
Asia and in Mindanao.
Nati
added that the company chose to invest in Cagayan de Oro City because most of
its higher middle class market compared to other key cities in the country.
“We
did a market survey [before we start the project] and we like Cagayan de Oro
because it has higher middle class market not to mention its fast-growing
economy,” Nati said.
”We
are not into Metro Manila because our idea is to focus in the provinces,” he
added.
Nati
said they are also targeting to build the same facility in Palawan, Mindoro,
General Santos and Davao
which shows great potential for property development.
The
condominium units are sold not more than P3 million but it is all worth it as
the unit were designed and tailored in Europe plus the fact that the building
produce its own energy which will help tenants to pay less electricity.
The
GreenBuilding will have a special solar panel
which will help maximize and optimize energy use. It will not only help the
tenants pay less of their electricity bill but would also help save the
environment from global warming.
“Our
goal is to reduce energy consumption…. Our building will save around 33 percent
of energy,” he said.
Nati
said they are targeting the overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) market and the
migrants abroad.
Nati
said they are also targeting to build the same facility in Palawan, Mindoro,
General Santos and Davao
which shows great potential for property development.
