Date Posted: Dec 1, 2009

SM Prime Holdings, the company behind the largest shopping mall in the country SM (Shoe Mart) opens its 36th mall in Rosario, Cavite.

The new mall in Rosario is the fourth SM mall in the southern-tagalog region. SM Prime Holdings chose Rosario as the new location due to its fast growth in local economy and perfect location for marketing.

Rosario is a vibrant municipality in Cavite, a province which we consider to be a high-growth area, being a prominent part of the progressive Calabarzon economic region,” SM Prime president Hans T. Sy, said as he noted that the company’s three existing malls in the province have notably been doing well. The three SM malls in the province are located in Bacoor, Dasmariñas, and Molino.

The SM City Rosario will also help boost local employment in Rosario by giving thousands of local jobs to its locals. Jobseekers can fill available positions such as cashiers, sales lady, clerk, store supervisors, baggers, store managers, etc.

Other jobs will also be offered by the tenants of the SM City Rosario such as major boutiques and apparels such as Penshoppe and Bench, National Bookstore, and leading fast food chains like Jollibee, KFC, Savory Chicken, Max’s and Red Ribbon.

The new SM City Rosario will also be the home of SM Supermarket, SM Department Store, Ace Hardware and Watsons.

Moreover, SM Prime said they will have a total of 41 malls before the year end next year as they set to open SM City Novaliches, SM City Tarlac, SM Supercenter Masinag-Antipolo City, SM City Calamba and SM City San Pablo.
