UST To Hire 1,000 IT Professionals

UST Global, one of world’s leaders in Information Technology and customer and business service assistance announced their need of 1,000 IT workers as they expand their facility in Manila.


The IT and Business process outsourcing (BPO) firm aim to get their 5,000 manpower target before the year’s end after they get higher demand for It and outsourcing services.


The US-based company show more interest in expanding here in the country as they find Filipino worker’s ethics exceptional and the government continuous support towards outsourcing industry.


“UST is grateful for the help and support from the government of the in establishing and expanding our presence here,” said UST’s chief operating officer Joe Nalkara.


“The natural cultural compatibility with US and time zone efficiency makes an important part of our growing Asian presence and long-term global strategy,” he added.


The newly established and renovated facility of UST will be promulgated on January 2010 which can house up to 5,000 employees. The new site is a state-of-the-art facility which aims to create a good work ambience for the newly hired employees.


“Our growth and strong costumer relationships with global companies gives newly hired professionals an opportunity to build an accelerated career and exposure to processes and new technology.” Nalkara said.


Nalkara said that around the world, UST has been rewriting the rules in outsourcing with key focus on transforming client businesses to take advantage of market opportunities. This expansion in the offers opportunities that can transform careers for the country’s talented IT professionals.


The Philippine facility is the second largest site of UST Global outside US, next to another BPO hub .
