Most job seekers, especially the fresh graduates had experienced butterfly in the stomach during job interview. Here are some advices on how to cope with your tensions before and during the interview:
Prepare- Before you present yourself; make sure that you prepare a comprehensive resume or portfolio. Think ahead of questions that might ask you, so that you know what to answer. Visit the company website in order for you to have insights about their objectives, plans and the future projects.
Relax- Take a long and deep breath. Sit properly and try not to focus on other things other than your interviewer. Keep an eye contact and avoid unnecessary movements. Sometimes, they act intimidating just to figure if you can handle the pressure or be over friendly to tests your limitations. Dealing with difficult questions- Most interviewers ask tricky questions. Pause for awhile to collect some thoughts before you answer. Make your answer brief and clear to avoid simultaneous questions.
Ending the Interview- No matter how the interview flows, always show a good final impression. Smile and shake their hands and thank them for their time.
After the Interview- Asses yourself after and think of the possible mistakes that you did or questions that you got a hard time to answer and make it as your guide the next time you apply.
